Your website has the ability to increase community reach and provide members with crucial church resources such as sermons and events.

As a Web designer and Developer working with Churches and Church Ministries, I have compiled my list of the Top 26 Church Websites of 2023. You can use this list for page and element inspiration, and layout ideas, and see the trends happening in the Church website world!

What they did well:

Elevation Church’s website makes the user feels like they are using an app. With well-done cards, easy to understand layout, and the most used buttons easily identified and in a convenient location. When first using the website, there are buttons that ask if you are a new or a returning member. If you select returning member you are redirected to a different homepage and the page remembers your decision.

What they did well:

The Granger Community Church website has a multi-layered feel when navigating. With simple and smooth animations, the user is engaged all the way to the bottom. The green palette and Granger logos are found throughout the website, maintaining a consistent feel.

What they did well:

Bay Hope Church’s website utilizes white space to separate sections without feeling “blocky”. The circles and font choices help personalize the website elements. Simple animations and gifs keep users engaged throughout. The yellow theme, bright photos, and smiley faces bring the user joy and a positive atmosphere when navigating the page.

What they did well:

Crossroads Church engages the user immediately with a full-screen image and torn paper border. The background transitions smoothly from picture to light design, to white. This removes background distractions and helps keep the users focused on the content. The clever use of PNGs provides a layered 3-dimensional feel and utilizes the orange color without being overwhelmed.

What they did well:

Oaks Church’s website opens to a vision statement and essential service information front and center. By scrolling, the user is engaged with a video with vision statements and a full-screen baptism section. The sudden background change can be distracting, but in this case, it focuses the user on the content of that section.
